Engagements

Fixed scope. Fixed price. Your code in your accounts.

Productized engagements: you buy an outcome, not hours. Every one ships with tests, a runbook, and a clean handoff, so you're never hostage to one vendor (me included).

MVP Proof-of-Concept

Not ready to commit to a full build? I'll turn your core idea into a working proof-of-concept in 40 hours, and if it doesn't do what we agreed, you don't pay.

$10,000fixed · 40 hours

100% money-back if it misses the agreed scope

  • We lock the MVP scope and acceptance criteria in writing before any code. That's the contract
  • A working proof your team can click through and test against that exact scope
  • Built production-grade, so the proof becomes the foundation for the full build, not a throwaway
  • Meets the agreed scope, or a 100% refund. No “it depends”

Credible because: Ten years shipping production software and a 639-test, zero-failure record. A tight written scope plus that record is why I can put the whole fee at risk.

Other ways to work together

Where it goes once you've seen it work, or start here if you already know what you need. All fixed-scope, fixed-price, your code in your accounts.

A fixed-fee diagnostic for owners drowning in spreadsheets, aging apps, or a one-person “system.”

$28,000 · fixed · 45 days

Project Rescue & Stabilization

For owners burned by an agency or a departed dev: the app half-works and the business depends on it.

$14,500 · fixed · 3 weeks

Fractional Product Engineer

A senior owner of outcomes on retainer, without a $200k+ loaded full-time hire.

$5,500–9,500/mo · retainer · 3-mo minimum

How engagements work

  • Fixed price, agreed up front: the overrun risk is mine, not yours.
  • Your code and cloud in your accounts from day one.
  • Every engagement ships with tests, a runbook, and a handoff standard.
  • Start small: the $4,500 Operations X-Ray credits 100% toward the build.

Straight answers

How does the money-back guarantee work?
Before any code, we write down the MVP scope and a short acceptance checklist: the exact things it must do. I build to that in 40 hours. If the delivered proof-of-concept doesn't meet that agreed checklist, you get a full refund. The guarantee is against the scope we signed off on, not later changes of mind, which is what keeps it fair for both of us.
No CS degree?
Correct. I have something rarer: software a manufacturer runs its shop floor on today, with paying customers, plus a SaaS platform I operate solo. Degrees predict potential; production systems prove delivery. (Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer, 2019, if you want the paper.)
One-person shop: what about the bus factor?
Everything lives in your accounts from day one, and every engagement ships with tests and handoff runbooks. I write the cutover docs myself. Agencies create dependency; my deliverable is your independence.
Won't AI do this for almost nothing?
I build AI dev platforms (a six-gate safety pipeline for AI-written code), so AI is exactly why my fixed prices are possible. But AI writes code; it doesn't take responsibility for payroll failing on the 30th. Half my rescue pipeline is AI-generated apps nobody could maintain.
Offshore quoted a third of this.
Compare outcomes, not invoices. My fixed price puts the overrun risk on me, not you, and a loaded senior FTE runs $180–220k a year. The cheap quote usually becomes a $14,500 stabilization job plus a rebuild. Pay once.
Are you available, and will you be around next year?
The two-slot retainer cap is why deadlines hold. I've run one client's platform continuously for 1.5 years alongside my own SaaS, and if an engagement ends, the runbooks mean anyone competent picks it up cold.
